Building upon a 10-year history in Ellicott City, the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company has acquired the former Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust building at Calvert and Redwood Streets. Built in 1885, the red brick and brownstone structure that survived the 1904 Fire will be transformed into 250-seat second venue for the company, near the Inner Harbor.
