Caring for West Baltimore

Maryland Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown led the effort to create five health enterprise zones throughout the state, and one of those is in West Baltimore, where he appeared recently with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, other community leaders and dozens of residents to present a $1.25 million check toward the project. Organized under the auspices of Bon Secours Baltimore Health System, the West Baltimore Primary Care Access Collaborative has 16 founding member organizations, all working to combat high cardiovascular disease rates in the area.
