The National Aquarium in Baltimore is working with the Dogfish Head brewery to produce SeaQuench Ale, described as "a softly-tart and super-refreshing mash-up of three famously sessionable German beer styles... brewed with lime juice, sea salt, black limes and a touch of coriander." The National Aquarium's logo will be featured on the label, and it will become the official craft beer of the institution, featured in their cafe and at select events.
As for production, Dogfish Head is a Delaware-based company, so it can't boast of being locally produced, like an increasingly growing number of very good Baltimore-brewed craft beers. However, let's all remember that Natty Boh (official National Bohemian Beer), which dates back to 1885, has not been produced here for nearly 20 years.
