Baltimore Writers Resist

CityLit Project, one of Baltimore’s leading literary organizations, led the local “Writers Resist” movement with a standing-room-only event today at EMP Collective, downtown on Baltimore Street. The Baltimore event joined others in over 50 cities worldwide joining in a “re-inauguration” of a shared commitment to the spirit of compassion, equality, free speech, and the fundamental ideals of democracy, following November’s election of Donald Trump as president. Maryland writers and performers came together to raise their voices in support of inclusivity, understanding, community, connection and civility.
