The portion of the
Jones Falls Trail that takes you into Druid Hill Park (and near the
Maryland Zoo) is not a place where you necessarily want to think about wildlife. Lions, tigers and bears (Oh, my!) are secured within the zoo property, while deer and other fairly harmless woodland creatures naturally keep their distance. However, there is much more accessible wildlife to be seen on the trail if you look closely, like this small snail, clinging to a leaf of plants that are known to also attract many butterflies.
