Anyone who lives near one of our city's parks could literally take the easy "path" when it comes to gardening. They could just stroll over to the park and look at the greenery and flowers there. Patterson Park, for instance, has grass-covered hills, majestic trees, flowers, and a lake with lily pads, reeds, water grasses and plenty of birds. The park was even once home to the first and the largest of the city's 19th century public conservatories that showcased a wide variety of plants.
