A few years ago, Baltimore became home to a new local bookstore. When the owner, Julia Fleischaker, moved here from New York City to open Greedy Reads in Fells Point in 2018, it quickly became a destination for local bibliophiles. It helps that Ms. Fleischaker came to town with 20 years of experience in the publishing business. She’s a native of nearby Montgomery County, Maryland, but she somehow found her way to Baltimore to successfully realize her dream.
… And the success continues! While a more visible national chain bookstore recently left the city, last year Greedy Reads opened a second store, in Remington (below).
