The Maryland Transit Administration is proposing to scale back 20% of its bus service in the Baltimore region next year due to declining fare revenue and other funding sources caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. the plan includes cutting 25 bus lines, reducing service on 12 other routes, plus MARC train and Commuter Bus service. This is an attempt to “optimize transit service for core bus riders, especially transit-dependent households.”
